These brackets are fabricated out of 6061 aluminum. They are designed to eliminate the factory hinges on the convertible top cover piece. They attach using the factory mounting locations and hardware. By mounting the convertible top cover securely to the chassis, it allows a fiberglass hard top to be fastened to the cover instead of the safety cage which makes the top more secure at high speeds, and allows the car to be driven without the hard top installed while the cover piece stays safely in place.
