Boxster Cooling Line Modification
The standard Boxster cooling systems are adequate for street driving, but with added horsepower, or high performance track driving, the added heat generated can overwhelm the 2 side radiators. Luckily, Porsche offers a third radiator which was designed for the Boxster S and 996 chassis, and also bolts onto the standard 2.5 and 2.7 cars. The only difference is, the cars that are equipped from the factory with the third radiator also have larger hard lines that run through the tunnel and in the front wheel wells. Instead of changing the hard lines throughout the entire system, Precision Chassis Works offers a modification to the standard cooling lines to transition from the small diameter tube, to a larger diameter that matches the new rubber radiator hoses. This requires cutting off one end of the tubes and TIG welding a new, CNC machined aluminum adapter. One upper and one lower tube are needed to complete the conversion. Simply ship your old cooling lines to Precision Chassis Works, and we will modify them, paint them, and ship them back to you. This can also be done on an exchange basis with a refundable core charge.
